- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
- REMOVE STEERING PAD . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 11
- REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 12
- REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 13
- REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 14
- REMOVE CENTER UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
- Disengage the 10 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the center upper instrument cluster finish panel.

NOTE:Make sure to pull the center upper instrument cluster finish panel in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration to disengage the clips.
- Disengage the 10 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the center upper instrument cluster finish panel.
- REMOVE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL WITH RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/o Navigation System) . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
- REMOVE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL WITH NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System) . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
- REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 9 claws and 2 clips.
- Disconnect each connector and remove the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
- Using a molding remover, disengage the 2 clips and remove the No. 1 instrument cluster finish garnish as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE (w/o Smart Key System)
- Remove the instrument panel finish plate.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 8 clips.
- Disconnect each connector and remove the instrument panel sub-assembly.
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 screws <E>.
- Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
- REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 4 clips and remove the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 20
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 18
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH
- Open the cover as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the bolt <B> or <C> and screw <E>.
- Disconnect the hood lock control cable.
- Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the room temperature sensor.
- Disengage the 7 claws and 4 clips.
- Disconnect each connector and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel LH.
- REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
- Disengage the 4 claws and 3 guides, and remove the instrument side panel LH.
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
- Disengage the 4 clips and remove the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.
- REMOVE NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 6 claws and remove the No. 4 instrument panel register assembly.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 21
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 19
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL RH
- Remove the bolt <B> or <C> and 4 screws <E>.
- Disengage the 3 claws and clip and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel RH.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH
- Disengage the claw, 2 clips and 3 guides, and remove the instrument side panel RH.
- REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.
- REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY
- Disengage the 5 claws and remove the position indicator housing assembly.
- REMOVE SEAT HEATER SWITCH (w/ Seat Heater System)
- Disengage the 4 claws.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the seat heater switch.
- REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET
- Remove the console box carpet.
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect each connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts <D>, 2 screws <E> and console box assembly.
- REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX
- Remove the 2 nuts <F> and screw <E>.
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front console box.
- REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL
- Remove the 2 screws <E>.
- Disengage the 2 clips and remove the lower center instrument panel finish panel.
- REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER
- Using a molding remover, disengage the 12 claws and remove the No. 1 speaker hole cover.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 43
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 44
- REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR ECU . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
- DISCONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
