Removal (To 12/2010): Removal

NOTE:

Before removing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the registered transmitter IDs of all wheels and write them down to use for re-registration of transmitter IDs. Refer to REGISTRATION .

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 21
  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 23
  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO. 2  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 29
  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 30
  6. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the tire pressure warning ECU.

    2. Remove the screw and the tire pressure warning ECU.
