Parking Brake Pedal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
  2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER OUTER FRONT LH 

    For Manual Seat (See REMOVAL )

    For Power Seat (See REMOVAL )

  3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER FRONT LH 

    For Manual Seat (See REMOVAL )

    For Power Seat (See REMOVAL )

  4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER LH 

    For Manual Seat (See REMOVAL )

    For Power Seat (See REMOVAL )

  5. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER RH 

    For Manual Seat (See REMOVAL )

    For Power Seat (See REMOVAL )

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    For Manual Seat of w/o Front Seat Side Airbag (See REMOVAL )

    For Manual Seat of w/ Front Seat Side Airbag (See DISASSEMBLY )

    For Power Seat of w/o Front Seat Side Airbag (See REMOVAL )

    For Power Seat of w/ Front Seat Side Airbag (See DISASSEMBLY )

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    For w/ Rear No.2 Seat (See REMOVAL )

    For w/o Rear No.2 Seat (See REMOVAL )

  8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL INSERT SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET COVER CENTER  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU  (See REMOVAL )
  13. REMOVE FLOOR FOOTREST 
  14. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the parking brake No.2 and No.3 cable assemblies from the parking brake equalizer.

    2. Slide the rubber boot as shown in the illustration.

    3. Remove the parking brake equalizer from the parking brake No.1 cable assembly.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, and separate the parking brake No.1 cable assembly from the body.

    5. Disconnect the connector and clamp.
    6. Remove the 3 nuts and parking brake pedal from the body.
