Remove/install radiator - AR20.20-P-3865EWS

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Remove fan unit (5)   AR20.40-P-5050EW 
2 Remove middle reinforcement at the front See Completely replace front end with front reinforcement AR62.30-P-1570EW
3 Remove front engine cover (3)    
4 Remove hoses (4) from engine air intake duct    
5 Remove lower engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105EW
6 Drain coolant at radiator (1)   AR20.00-P-1142EWS 
NOTES Notes on coolant   AH20.00-N-2080-01A
7 Detach coolant lines (11, 12, 17) from radiator (1) See "Disconnect Henn coupling". AR09.41-P-1311-01AL
8 Remove refrigerant line (13) See "Disconnect Henn coupling". AR09.41-P-1311-01AL
9 Detach oil cooling lines (7) on cooler (1) Vehicles with automatic transmission
IMPORTANT Seal connections with plugs.

10.1 Unclip lower air ducting from radiator (1) Except engine 272.983  
10.2 Unclip low-temperature cooler from radiator (1) Engine 272.983 AR09.41-P-6831EWD
11 Unclip condenser (8) from radiator (1)    
12 Lift condenser (8) and cooler for the power steering Engine 272  
13 Take out radiator (1) in an upward direction    
INSPECT Checking     
14 Check cooler (1) for signs of damage Only when reusing the radiator (1).
IMPORTANT If one of the lower radiator mounts is damaged it can be replaced by a repair kit.
Determine replacement part number for the repair kit for the removed radiator (1) using the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC).
IMPORTANT Install new radiator (1) if necessary.
 
15 Install in the reverse order    
16 Inspecting cooling system for leaks   AR20.00-P-1010EW
