Retrofit support for navigation box - AN82.85-P-0020EW

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove radio (A2)    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR82.60-P-7502EW
2 Remove Audio/COMAND display (A408)    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR82.60-P-7722EW
3 Remove glove box (1)    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.10-P-1200EW
4 Remove instrument cluster    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.30-P-6015EW
5 Fold floor covering toward rear and push to one side    
6 Detach footrest in front passenger footwell and place to one side with control units connected    
7 Release front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and place to one side with electrical connectors attached

INSTALLING Install     
8 Install GPS antenna (retrofit) (A2/23)   AN82.85-P-0020-02EW 
9 Retrofit FM/TMC antenna splitter (A2/98)   AN82.85-P-0020-03EW
10 Prepare antenna lines for retrofit   AN82.85-P-0020-04EW
11 Retrofit antenna lines   AN82.85-P-0020-05EW
12 Retrofit low voltage differential signal (LVDS) wiring harness   AN82.85-P-0020-07EW
13 Install power supply wiring harness   AN82.85-P-0020-06EW

14 Install cradle for navigation module (A2/30-1) in glove box (1)   AN82.85-P-0020-01EW 
15 Install remaining parts    
16 Insert navigation module into cradle for navigation module (A2/30-1) IMPORTANT The release pin for removing the navigation module must be provided to the customer.  
17 Enter special equipment in online vehicle data card via vehicle documentation system (VeDoc) IMPORTANTAdd: 
  • Code (508) Navigation box preinstallation
 
18 Document retrofitted equipment through VeDoc IMPORTANT Attach note "Navigation box mount retrofitted as per AN82.85-P-0020EW " under field organization texts to design group 82.  
19 Connect Star Diagnosis and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN)    
20 Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN) IMPORTANT Variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN) must be carried out for the following control units.
  • "Audio 20"
  • "Instrument cluster"
 
21 Disconnect Star Diagnosis    
22 Perform function test IMPORTANT See Owner's Manual.
