Replacing evaporator
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove the HEATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING UNIT .
Removal:
Disengage and remove air duct (1) from heating and air-conditioning unit (2).
Unlock and disconnect the connector on the highlighted points.
Feed out wiring harness (1).
Unlock and remove connector housing (1).
Feed out wiring harness (2).
Unlock and disconnect connector (1).
Feed out and remove wiring harness (2).
On version with central kinematics:
Remove CONTROLLER DRIVE for the right footwell flap.
Unscrew the screws (1).
Remove central kinematics (2).
Unscrew the screws (1).
Remove housing fresh air/air return (2).
Installation:
Properly position housing fresh air/air return (2).
Tighten down screws (1).
On version with central kinematics:
Install the CONTROLLER DRIVE , footwell flap, right.
Properly position central kinematics (2).
Tighten down screws (1).
Feed in wiring harness (2) properly.
Connect and lock the connector (1).
Position and feed in the wiring harness (2) properly.
Position and lock plug connection (1) properly.
Position and feed in the wiring harness (1) properly.
Connect the connector on the highlighted points.
Position and engage the air duct (1) properly on the heating and air-conditioning unit (2).
The following components need to be remounted:
- HEAT EXCHANGER .
- BLOWER .
- MICROFILTER .
- CONTROL UNIT for heating and air conditioning system.
- All controller drives. Refer to: THE CONTROLLER DRIVE OF THE MIXED AIR FLAP (LEFT) , THE ACTUATOR DRIVE FOR FRESH/RECIRCULATED AIR FLAP , THE CONTROLLER DRIVE FOR THE MIXED AIR FLAP (RIGHT) , THE CONTROLLER DRIVE OF THE DEFROSTER FLAP and THEACTUATOR DRIVE FOR RIGHT FOOTWELL FLAP .
- EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
Required follow-up work:
- Install HEATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING UNIT .
