Replace both rear-axle brake calipers, along with actuator motors of electric parking brake.

Replacement of wear or damaged parts must be invoiced separately.

	Remove
2	Clean area surrounding cap of brake fluid reservoir.	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
3	Remove cap from brake fluid reservoir.
4	Check fill level in brake fluid reservoir.	The fill level must not be above the maximum marking. This prevents the brake fluid reservoir from overflowing when the brake pistons are pushed back. If the fill level in brake fluid reservoir is too high, ↓ extract brake fluid. Commercially available devices/tools  Extraction bellows
5	Move rear axle brake pads into assembly position.
		Do not operate the service brake while "Move to assembly position" is shown. Otherwise, the spindle of the brake caliper (1) will be damaged.	AR42.10-D-1710-01TS
6	Remove rear wheels.

7	Remove electrical wiring harness from holder (2).
8	Disconnect electrical wiring harness (4) from electrical wiring harness (5) to electrical connector.
9	Remove electrical wiring harness (5) from brake caliper (1).	To do this, remove screw (6).
10	Disconnect electrical connector (7) from actuator motor (8).
11	Remove brake pads on rear axle.
		Reuse brakepads.	AR42.10-D-1710TS
12	Remove brake hose (9) on vehicle side.

13	Remove dust cap (10).
14	Remove brake caliper (1).	To do so, remove screw/bolt (11). Replace bolt (11). When replacing brake calipers (1), only install brake calipers (1) from the same manufacturer and model on an axle.
	Check
15	Check brake hose (9) for damage.	If damage exists, ↓ Replace brake hose (9) subject to separate invoice.

16	Modify brake hose (9).

	Install
17	Install new brake caliper (1).	To do so, screw in new bolt (11). Screw/guide pin, brake caliper to brake caliper support	*BA42.10-N-1006-12TS
18	Install dust cap (10).
19	Install brake hose (9) on vehicle side.
		Do not yet bleed brake system.	AR42.10-D-0023TS
20	Install old brakepads of rear axle.
		Do not operate brake pedal yet.	AR42.10-D-1710TS
21	Connect electrical connector (7) to actuator motor (8).
22	Attach electrical wiring harness (5) to brake caliper (1).	Screw in bolt (6) to do this. Bolt, wiring harness for wear indicator to brake caliper	*BA42.10-N-1004-12TS
23	Connect electrical wiring harness (4) with electrical wiring harness (5) to electrical connector.
24	Install electrical wiring harness on holder (2).
25	Deactivate brake pad change mode.
		Whilst doing so, do not actuate service brake. Otherwise, the spindle of the brake caliper (1) will be damaged.	AR42.10-D-1710-01TS
26	Bleed brake system.

27	Fit brake pads on rear axle.	For this, depress brake pedal several times until the brake pads contact the brake disks. Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
28	Mount rear wheels.

	Update software/Reset counter
29	Connect diagnostic system.

30	Connect charging equipment.
	Maintaining on-board electrical system voltage when performing test and diagnosis work on vehicle	During the entire work procedure a sufficiently large voltage supply must be provided for the vehicle's on-board electrical system. Otherwise any undervoltage that occurs may damage the control units. Follow the operating instructions for the charger. Use the charger to ensure that an adequate power supply (min. 12.5 V) is provided for the on-board electrical system battery.	AR54.10-D-1127TS

32	Reset actuator counter of electric parking brake. 33	Disconnect diagnostic system.
