	Risk of death caused by limbs being caught or crushed by rotating parts when performing tests on the brake test stand	Never leave the vehicle unattended on the rollers except in an emergency. 	General brake test
1	Check braking characteristics of the service brake and parking brake when driving.	Only applies for countries without a specified brake test on the roller brake test stand. Make sure when driving that the brake test is performed as per the country-specific legislation and regulations. Otherwise, people may be injured or there may be damage to material and the environment.	AP42.00-S-4290-01E
	Brake test on roller brake test stand
2	Switch off all-wheel drive.	Model 907 with code ZG1 (Engageable all-wheel drive) or with code ZG3 (Engageable all-wheel drive with gear reduction)
3	Move vehicle with front axle onto roller brake test stand.

4	Measure deceleration values of front service brake.	The permissible deviation from the larger value may not exceed 25 %. A braking effect must be discernible by the time the brake pedal has been depressed by a quarter of its overall travel distance. Malfunction or damage can occur otherwise. Carry out test with engine running so that maximum vacuum is available. Press brake pedal uniformly. Document maximum values before wheels lock up. If the deviations exceed the limits, ↓ determine cause and correct. After obtaining special order.
5	Move rear axle of vehicle into roller brake test stand.

7.1	Measure deceleration values for mechanical parking brake.	Without code B25 (Electrical parking brake) When operating the parking brake, a braking effect must be noticeable after 3 to 4 notches. Operate parking brake uniformly. Document maximum values before wheels lock up. On vehicles with a maximum permissible mass ≤ 3.5 t, the deviation may not exceed 50 %, with regard to the higher value. On vehicles with a maximum permissible mass > 3.5 t, the deviation may not exceed 30 %, with regard to the higher value. If the deviations exceed the limits, ↓ determine cause and correct. After obtaining special order.
7.2	Measure deceleration values of electric parking brake.	With code B25 (Electric parking brake) Before operating the electric parking brake, let the wheels of the rear axle drive for at least 10s from the roller brake test stand. This means that the brake shoes can be applied slowly. Otherwise damage may occur. To do so, press and hold the switch of the electric parking brake. Document maximum values before wheels lock up. On vehicles with a maximum permissible mass ≤ 3.5 t, the deviation may not exceed 50 %, with regard to the higher value. On vehicles with a maximum permissible mass > 3.5 t, the deviation may not exceed 30 %, with regard to the higher value. If the deviations exceed the limits, ↓ determine cause and correct. After obtaining special order.
8	Drive the vehicle off the roller brake test stand.
9	Enter deceleration values of service brake and parking brake on the maintenance sheet.
