REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove front side air vents.   AR83.10-D-4741TS
2 Remove defroster vents for the side windows.   AR83.10-D-4719TS
3 Remove steering column module.   AR54.25-D-2802TS
4 Remove steering column cover from the instrument panel.   AR68.10-D-1060TS 
5 Remove instrument cluster.   AR54.30-D-6016TS
6 Remove bottom trim for the instrument panel on the driver's side.   AR68.10-D-1501TS 
7.1 Remove head unit. Model 907

13 Remove vehicle interior temperature sensor. Model 907

14.1 Remove bottom trim for instrument panel on the front passenger side. Model 907

15 Remove central locking system antenna amplifier.   AR80.20-D-0002TS
16 Remove speaker from the center instrument panel. Model 907

17 Remove side speakers from instrument panel. Model 907
with code EL9 (Two-way loudspeaker system in front and rear)

18 Remove screw/bolts (3). IMPORTANT The number of screws (3) can vary depending on the vehicle equipment.  
19 Remove bottom front passenger side trim (2).    
20 Disconnect electrical connectors (5). Model 907
with code SA6 (Airbag, co-driver)
 
21 Unscrew screw (4). Model 907
with code SA6 (Airbag, co-driver)
IMPORTANT Front passenger airbag remains on instrument panel (1).
 
22 Disconnect electrical connectors (6). If installed.
IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (6) may vary depending on the vehicle equipment involved.
 
23 Unscrew bolt (7).    
24 Remove air duct (8).    
25 Remove screw (14).    
26 Remove air duct (15).    
27 Separate electrical connector (11). If installed.  
28 Remove screws/bolts (9).    
29 Unscrew bolts (10).    
30 Slightly lift instrument panel (1) and release from crossmember.    
31 Completely open the front door on the front passenger side.    
32 Attach suitable protective covers in the entrance and door area on the front passenger side.    
33 Lift instrument panel (1) starting from the front passenger side and unclip the antenna for the stationary heater Telestart receiver (12) on the line brackets (13) from the instrument panel (1). Model 907
with code HY1 (Radio remote control for aux. water heater)
NOTES
Do not lift instrument panel (1) too far. Otherwise, damage to the antenna for the stationary heater Telestart receiver (12) may occur.
IMPORTANT Helper required.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Clip remover Fig 1
34 Remove instrument panel (1) and set down outside of the vehicle. IMPORTANT Helper required.  
35 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
36 Perform function test of all components installed in the instrument panel (1).
