	Remove/install
1	Raise vehicle.		AR00.60-D-1000-04TS

2	Remove lower engine compartment paneling.	Installation: Install engine compartment lining at bottom only after the leak test of the auxiliary oil pump (1) has been carried out.	AR61.20-D-1105TS
3	Remove underbody paneling.	If installed. Installation: Install underfloor paneling only after leak testing the auxiliary oil pump (1).	AR61.30-D-1001TS
4	Clean oil pan of automatic transmission and surrounding area thoroughly.	Cleanliness must be ensured when performing work on the automatic transmission. Otherwise, even the smallest foreign particles in the hydraulic components of the automatic transmission can lead to malfunctions or total failure of the automatic transmission.
		Use lint-free cleaning cloths when cleaning. Chamois leathers are the most suitable. Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
5	Drain fluid from transmission.	After loosening of the overflow pipe, it is imperative to remove oil pan and install overflow pipe again at the oil pan. Otherwise the transmission may be damaged. 11	Lift automatic transmission carefully.

14	Install in the reverse order.
15	Fill automatic transmission with oil.	The function and leak tightness of the automatic transmission are also checked here	AR27.00-D-0270TSR

16	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Check auxiliary oil pump (1) for leak tightness with engine running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
