1	Check whether a CD has been inserted into the Audio 20 CD radio, if necessary remove CD
	Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

10	Remove side upholstery of left rear seat backrest
11	Release rubber door seal in lower area of left rear door

13	Remove cable duct cover on left side of rear seat backrest
14	Open left cable duct at rear seat
15	Check whether the bass box speaker (H4/17) is installed	The bass box speaker (H4/17) can be identified from the trunk below the rear shelf (refer to picture).

30	Carry out variant coding with STAR DIAGNOSIS to activate the functions of the MB Audio 50 APS radio.	Follow the instructions in the Diagnosis Assistance System. After completing the variant coding, perform a quick test and delete the fault memory.
31	Add special equipment to the vehicle data card and to the online vehicle data card	Delete code (523) MB Audio 20 CD radio and enter code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio. Delete old radio identification number and enter new one.
32	Close STAR DIAGNOSIS		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
33	Perform function check of radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56)	Refer to operating instructions of radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56).
