Antenna Amplifier Inspection

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front seat belt adjusting cover (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- D-pillar trim (See D-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the rear passenger's assist handle. (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Partially peel back the headliner.NOTE:
- Be careful not to peel back the headliner excessively. Otherwise it could create a fold-seam in the headliner.
- Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Turn the audio unit power on.
- Tune in the radio.
- Verify that the battery voltage is supplied to antenna amplifier terminal 1B.
- If the battery voltage cannot be verified, inspect the audio unit and antenna feeder.
- If the battery voltage can be verified, go to the feeder line inspection.
