D-Pillar Trim Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Take the shaded area shown in the figure, and remove the D-pillar trim in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2), (3) while detaching clips, pins.

  4. Pull the D-pillar trim in the direction of the arrow and remove the D-pillar trim while detaching the guide.

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
