B-Pillar Upper Trim Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the following parts:
    1. Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Adjuster anchor cover (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Upper anchor installation bolts on the front seat belt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Partially peel back the seaming welt.
  3. Take the shaded area shown in the figure, and pull the B-pillar upper trim in the direction of the arrow while detaching clips, pin A, pin B.
    CAUTION:
    • If clips, pin A and pin B is removed forcefully, guide may be damaged. Carefully remove clips, pin A and pin B so as not to damage guide.

  4. Remove the B-pillar upper trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure while detaching the guide.

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
