C-Pillar Trim Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. D-pillar trim (See D-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Partially peel back the seaming welt.
  4. Remove the fastener.

  5. Take the shaded area shown in the figure, and pull the C-pillar trim in the direction of the arrow while detaching the pin.
    CAUTION:
    • If the C-pillar trim is pulled in the direction of the arrow forcefully, guide may be damaged. Carefully pull the C-pillar trim so as not to damage guide.

  6. Remove the C-pillar trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure while detaching guide, tabs.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
