Antenna amplifier inspection
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Bass-box (with Bose®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk box (See TRUNK BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Peel back the trunk side trim and remove the C-pillar trim. (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
.)NOTE:
- To facilitate the procedure, leave the C-pillar trim in the cabin without pulling the rear seat belt.
- Remove the fasteners.
- Peel back the seaming welt of the rear door and the liftgate.CAUTION:
- If the headliner is peeled back excessively, the headliner could become creased. Be careful not to peel back the headliner excessively.
- Partially peel back the headliner.
- Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Turn the audio unit power on. (without center display)
- Change the mode to radio mode. (without center display)
- Measure the voltage at center roof antenna connector terminal B.
If the voltage is the battery voltage:
- The center roof antenna is normal. Go to the feeder line inspection.
If the voltage is other than the battery voltage:
- Inspect the audio unit (without center display)/tuner and amp unit (with center display) and the antenna feeder. (See ANTENNA FEEDER NO. 1 INSPECTION .) (See ANTENNA FEEDER NO. 2 INSPECTION .) (See ANTENNA FEEDER NO. 3 INSPECTION .)
