C-Pillar Trim Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk board (with trunk board) (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Bass-box (with Bose®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Trunk box (See TRUNK BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Peel back the rear door seaming welt and liftgate weatherstrip.
  4. Remove the fastener.

  5. Detach the C-pillar trim clips in the order shown in the figure and pull out the pin from the body.

  6. Move the C-pillar trim and detach the guide from the body in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the C-pillar trim.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
