Trunk Side Trim Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Trunk board (with trunk board) (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Bass-box (with Bose®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Trunk box (See TRUNK BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Peel back the rear door seaming welt and liftgate weatherstrip.
  4. Pull up the cover in the direction the of arrow shown in the figure.

  5. Remove the bolt, then remove the cargo net hooks.
  6. Remove the fastener.

  7. Pull the trunk side trim in the order of the arrows shown in the figure and detach clips A and B from the body or the C-pillar trim.

  8. Disconnect the cargo compartment light connector. (RH)
  9. When the trunk side trim is replaced, remove the cargo compartment light. (RH) (See CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
