- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disengage the clips, guides and claw to remove the rear seat side garnish LH with rear seat airbag assembly as shown in the illustration.
Place Hands Here Remove in this Direction - Disengage the clamp.
*a Protective Tape Remove in this Direction - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pull out the locking button to release the lock to disconnect the airbag connector as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

- DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the 2 clips.
Place Hands Here Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Disengage the clip and guides to remove the center pillar garnish assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
- Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar garnish assembly LH to remove the center pillar garnish assembly LH.
- When reusing the center pillar garnish assembly LH:
- Remove the clip from the center pillar garnish assembly LH.
- Remove the 2 clips.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH

- REMOVE DECK TRIM REAR COVER
- REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY

Use the same procedures for the opposite side.
- REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the opposite side.
- REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
- Rotate the No. 2 deck side trim hook by 90° as shown in the illustration.
- Insert a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape and press until a "click" sound is heard to disengage the claws of the No. 2 deck side trim hook as shown in the illustration.
*a View A *b Protective Tape *c Press Point *d Claw of No. 2 Deck Side Trim Hook - Remove the screw.
Remove in this Direction - Disengage the clips and claws to remove the deck trim side panel assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Rotate the No. 2 deck side trim hook by 90° as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- Rotate the No. 1 deck side trim hook by 90°.
- Insert a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape and press until a "click" sound is heard to disengage the claws of the No. 1 deck side trim hook.
- Remove the screw.
- Disengage the clips and claws to remove the deck trim side panel assembly RH.
- DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

- DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
- Disengage the claws and guides to remove the belt guide as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - Disengage the clips to remove the roof side inner garnish assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - Pass the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH through the roof side inner garnish assembly LH and remove the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.
- When reusing the roof side inner garnish assembly LH:
- Remove the 6 clips from the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.
- Disengage the claws and guides to remove the belt guide as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH

- SST: 09813-00010
NOTE:To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to insert SST straight into the cutout.
*a Cutout - Pull SST as shown in the illustration to disengage the claw.NOTE:

*a 30 to 45° Remove in this Direction - Remove the assist grip cover.

- for Front Pillar LH Side:
- Disconnect each connector.
- Using a clip remover, disengage the clamps.
- for Front Pillar RH Side:
- Disconnect each connector.
- Using a clip remover, disengage the clamps.
- for Rear Pillar RH Side:
- Disconnect each connector.
- Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp.
- for Windshield Glass Side:
*A w/ EC Mirror *B w/ Rain Sensor - Disconnect each connector.
- w/o Sliding Roof:
- w/ Sliding Roof:
- Turn the roof headlining assembly diagonally and bend slightly to remove it from the back door.NOTE:
- Make sure that wrinkles do not form in the roof headlining assembly during removal.
- Make sure that the roof headlining assembly does not get caught on anything as it may become bent or damaged.
- Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.
