Removal [10/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure
- BOLT, SCREW AND NUT TABLE
HINT:
All bolts, nuts and clips relevant to installing and removing the instrument panel are shown along with their alphabetic code in the table below.
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

NOTE:After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
WARNING:NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2020]
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
- Insert moulding remover B as shown in the illustration and push in the direction indicated by the arrow to slightly pull the bottom part of the instrument side panel LH away from the vehicle.
Remove in this Direction - Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration, detach the clip in the removal order and remove the instrument side panel LH.

- Insert moulding remover B as shown in the illustration and push in the direction indicated by the arrow to slightly pull the bottom part of the instrument side panel LH away from the vehicle.
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 screws <A> or <B>.
Screw <A> or <B> - Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.
Place hand here Remove in this Direction - Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
Remove in this Direction - Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 2 screws <A> or <B>.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH
- Insert moulding remover B as shown in the illustration and push in the direction indicated by the arrow to slightly pull the bottom part of the instrument side panel RH away from the vehicle.
Remove in this Direction - Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration, detach the clip in the removal order and remove the instrument side panel RH.

- Insert moulding remover B as shown in the illustration and push in the direction indicated by the arrow to slightly pull the bottom part of the instrument side panel RH away from the vehicle.
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the clip.
Remove in this Direction - Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
Remove in this Direction - Disconnect the connector.
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the clip.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and detach the claw and clip.
Place hand here Remove in this Direction - Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration, detach the clip and remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel pad sub-assembly.
Place hand here Remove in this Direction - Disconnect the 3 connectors.
*A w/ Combination Switch - w/ Combination Switch:
- Disconnect the connector.
- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and detach the claw and clip.
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- w/ Headup Display:
- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and push in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.
Place hand here Remove in this Direction - Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.

- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and push in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.
- w/o Headup Display:
- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and push in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.
Place hand here Remove in this Direction Remove in this Direction Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and push in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.
- Detach the clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors.
- w/ Headup Display:
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the screw.
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the clip and remove the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly (instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly).
Remove in this Direction - Disconnect the connector.
- Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the clip and remove the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.
Remove in this Direction
- Remove the screw.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD INSERT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and detach the clip.
Place hand here - Place your hand in the gap, and then, while pulling in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, detach the guide and clip in the order shown in the illustration and remove the instrument panel safety pad insert sub-assembly.

- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.

- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.
- REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY

- Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip.

- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR PAD PLATE
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 screws <A> or <B>.
Screw <A> or <B> - Close the glove compartment door assembly.
- Remove the 2 screws <A> or <B>.
- Place both hands at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the direction indicated by the arrow to detach the clip and remove the glove compartment door assembly.
Place hands here Remove in this Direction - Detach the clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Remove the 2 screws <A> or <B>.
- REMOVE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)

- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

- REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Pull and slide the lock slider in the direction indicated by the arrow to release the connector lock and disconnect the airbag connector.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
*a Lock Slider Slide in this Direction - Remove the 2 bolts <C>.
Bolt <C> - Detach the clamp.
- Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.
- Detach the claw and remove the cooler thermistor (room temperature sensor).
- Remove the 2 clips <D>, 7 bolts <E> and nut <F>.
Bolt <E> Clip <D> Nut <F> - - - Lift in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the guide.NOTE:
Lift the defroster nozzle assembly until it is completely removed.
Lift Up Direction Defroster nozzle assembly status - Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
Remove in this Direction - -
- Pull and slide the lock slider in the direction indicated by the arrow to release the connector lock and disconnect the airbag connector.
