Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the radiator inlet hose from cylinder head. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (2.0L LHU) .
  3. Remove the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement .
  4. Release the power brake booster vacuum pipe. Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (2.0 LHU - Engine Side)Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (2.0L LHU - Booster Side) .
  5. Remove the manifold absolute pressure sensor. Refer to Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Replacement .
  6. Remove the turbocharger control solenoid valve. Refer to Turbocharger Control Solenoid Valve Replacement .
  7. Remove the oil level indicator and tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement .
  8. Release the throttle body assembly. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  9. Remove the intake manifold brace. Refer to Intake Manifold Brace Replacement .
  10. Remove the fuel feed pipe. Refer to Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement - Engine .

  11. Remove the 5 intake manifold bolts (3) and the 2 intake manifold nuts (2) from the intake manifold (1).
