Installation Procedure

  1. Loosely install the 5 intake manifold bolts (3) and the 2 intake manifold nuts (2) to the intake manifold (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Tighten the intake manifold bolts and the nuts in sequence as shown to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  3. Install the fuel feed pipe. Refer to Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement - Engine .
  4. Install the intake manifold brace. Refer to Intake Manifold Brace Replacement .
  5. Install the throttle body assembly. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  6. Install the oil level indicator and tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement .
  7. Install the turbocharger control solenoid valve. Refer to Turbocharger Control Solenoid Valve Replacement .
  8. Install the manifold absolute pressure sensor. Refer to Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Replacement .
  9. Install the power brake booster vacuum pipe. Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (2.0 LHU - Engine Side)Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (2.0L LHU - Booster Side) .
  10. Install the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement .
  11. Install the radiator inlet hose to cylinder head. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (2.0L LHU) .
  12. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
