Removing the front end

Preliminary work 

• Refer to DEACTIVATING VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
• Refer to REMOVING STAND FOR THE HOOD GASKET LEFT AND RIGHT .
• Refer to REMOVING SEAL FOR FRONT HOOD .
• Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT-END STRUT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE DECORATIVE FRONT GRILL .
• Refer to REMOVING FRONT BUMPER COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT SECTION OF THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
• Refer to REMOVING LEFT AND RIGHT BRAKE VENTILATION DUCT .
• Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
• Refer to REMOVING THE BOTTOM FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT COVER .

• Unclip Bowden cable bracket (1)  from the body.
• Loosen lid (2)  on retaining lugs (3)  and fold up and to the front.

• Detach the Bowden cable for the hood latch (1)  from the Bowden cable bracket (2)  .

  NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
• Loosen screws (1)  and (2)  .

  NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
• Release the cooler module mount (1)  from the detents and remove it.
• Loosen screws (2)  .

• Unlock and disconnect the plug connectors (1)  from the headlight and from the hood latch.

• Unlock and disconnect the plug connector (1)  on the right alongside the headlight.

• Release the cable bracket (1)  from the front end.

• Carefully guide the front end (1)  out forwards and remove it.
