51 11 157 Replace bumper panel, front
Special tools required:
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove FRONT BUMPER PANEL
Swap over the following parts according to version:
- BUMPER TRIM PANEL LOWER SECTION
- LICENSE PLATE BASEPLATE
- Cover for towing eye
- ORNAMENTAL GRILLE, BOTTOM
- SIDE GRILLE
- TOP (UPPER) GRILLE
- LEFT FRONT FOG LIGHT
and RIGHT FOG LIGHT
ADJUST fog lights after fitting
- WIRING HARNESS
- ULTRASONIC SENSORS
- FRONT CAMERA
- HIGH-PRESSURE JETS
Release all retainers (1).
Remove front radiator grille (2) towards front.
Installation note:
None of the catches (1) or guides on the front radiator grille (2) must be damaged or missing.
For equipment specification with front camera:
Mark (1) for the punching tool's die plate must be applied with a compass.
The existing mark (1) must not be used to align the punch.
Set the compass 2 361 287 to half the diameter of the die plate from the special tool 2 359 747 .
Place the compass at the middle mark (2) and apply the new mark (1) on the bumper panel.
PUNCH the hole for the front camera.
Install the FRONT CAMERA (1) in the holder (2).
Insert the holder (2) in the bumper panel.
Ensure correct seating of the holder (2) and the front camera (1) on the bumper panel.
Apply adhesive from the ADHESIVE SET K6 between the tabs (3).
Fix the tabs (3) with clamps (4).
Equipment specification with exterior design Pure Experience:
Saw out the left and right aperture (1) according to the applied mark.
