- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Type A)
Remove in this Direction - - - Remove the screw <C>.
- Detach the clip as shown in the illustration.
*a Tether Clip - - Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Insert the 12 mm spanner to the tether clip as shown in the illustration.
- With the 12 mm spanner inserted, move the No. 1 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to create a gap between the tether clip and the instrument panel.
- Move the tether clip as shown in the illustration to align the hole, remove the No. 1 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly.
- Detach the claw and disconnect the 2 connectors.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL ORNAMENT (for Type B)
- Use the same procedure described for the No. 1 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly.
- REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
- REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL (for 8 Inch Display)
- REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

- REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE
- REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE
- Use the same procedure described for the No. 1 side defroster nozzle.
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP PLUG
- REMOVE PILLAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH

*A for 14 Speakers - - Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - - - Pull in the removal direction (1) as shown in the illustration and detach the clip.
- Pull in the removal direction (2) as shown in the illustration and detach the guide and remove the front pillar garnish assembly LH.
- for 14 Speakers:
1. Disconnect the connector.
*a Protective Cover - - Adhesive Tape - - - Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover, such as a cloth, and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.WARNING:
Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish assembly LH is removed.
- Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover, such as a cloth, and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.
*a When reusing a front pillar garnish assembly LH - - - Remove the front pillar garnish clip from the front pillar garnish assembly LH.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH
- Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Use the same procedure described for the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for Side)

Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - - - Using moulding remover B, insert the position as shown in the illustration.
- Place your hand in the gap as shown in the illustration, detach the claw.
- Detach the guide and remove the instrument cluster finish panel end as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY

Connector Airbag Connector - Disconnect each connector.
- Disconnect the airbag connector.

- Detach the clamp.
- Detach the claw.
- Remove the 7 bolts <D>.
- Remove the nut <G>.
- Remove the 2 bolts <F>.
- Remove the 2 clips.
Remove in this Direction - - - Detach the guide as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
- Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad assembly or vehicle interior.
- Make sure that the wire harness does not get caught on anything as it may become damaged.
- Detach the guide as shown in the illustration.
