Disassembly [09/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2020 - ]

  5. DISCONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Disconnect the 2 rubber bands of the separate type front seatback cover.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT FRONT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 5 claws and 2 guides to remove the front seat front cushion shield.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws.

    3. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and slightly pull the front seat cushion shield as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    4. Disengage the guide as shown in the illustration.

    5. Disconnect the front power seat switch connector to remove the front seat cushion shield.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the front seat inner cushion shield as shown in the illustration.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the claw to remove the front seat lower cushion shield.
  10. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  11. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

  12. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [06/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2020 - ]

  13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the hook.

    2. Disengage the claw and 3 clamps to separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

      HINT: 

      Disengage the 3 clamps first.

    3. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    4. Disconnect the connector to separate the front seat No. 2 wire.
    5. w/ Seat Heater System:
      1. Disengage the clamp.

      2. Disconnect the connector to separate the front seatback heater assembly connector.
    6. Remove the 4 bolts to remove the separate type front seatback assembly from the separate type front seat cushion assembly.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Open the 2 fasteners.

    2. Disengage the hook.

    3. Pass each wire harness through the hole of the separate type front seatback cover.
    4. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      *a Protective Tape
  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad.
  16. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Remove the 10 hog rings to remove the separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [06/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2020 - ]

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [06/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [10/2020 - ]

  19. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Disengage the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector.

      HINT: 

      Disengage the wire harness clamp first.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and 3 hooks.

    4. Remove the 4 screws and seatback climate control blower from the seatback blower fan adapter.
  20. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2020 - ]

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT NO. 2 WIRE 
    1. Disconnect each connector and disengage each clamp to remove the front seat No. 2 wire.
  22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. w/o Climate Control Seat System:
      1. Disengage the 8 hooks to remove the front seatback spring sub-assembly RH from the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
      1. Disengage the 2 claws.

      2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front seatback spring sub-assembly RH as shown in the illustration.

  23. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEATBACK HOOK 
    1. w/o Climate Control Seat System:
      1. Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the 2 front No. 2 seatback hooks from the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
      1. Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the 2 front No. 2 seatback hooks from the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

  24. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD 
    1. w/ Seat Heater System:
      1. Disengage the wire harness clamp. (w/ Wire Harness Clamp)

        *A w/ Wire Harness Clamp - -
      2. Disengage the 4 clamps.
      3. Disconnect the connector to separate the front seat cushion heater assembly wire harness.
    2. Disengage each hook and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad from the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

  25. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 hog rings.

    2. Remove the 13 hog rings, disengage the 2 fasteners and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  27. REMOVE LH SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the LH seat reclining adjuster inside cover.

  28. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

    3. Disengage the claw and guide to remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.
  31. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the front seat lower cushion shield LH (for Driver Side).

  32. REMOVE SEAT TRACK UPPER RAIL COVER LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat track upper rail cover LH as shown in the illustration.

  33. REMOVE SEAT TRACK UPPER RAIL COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  34. REMOVE LH SEAT SEAT TRACK UPPER RAIL COVER (for Driver Side) 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the LH seat seat track upper rail cover as shown in the illustration.

  35. REMOVE RH SEAT SEAT TRACK UPPER RAIL COVER (for Front Passenger Side) 

    HINT: 

    • Use the same procedure as for the LH seat seat track upper rail cover (for Driver Side).
    • Use the same procedure for both RH seat seat track upper rail covers.
  36. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Disengage the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector.
