Removal [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT 
    1. Remove the bolt and defroster nozzle duct.

  10. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN 
    1. Remove the clip and push rod pin from the brake pedal lever.
  11. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  12. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER 
    1. Remove the stop light switch mounting adjuster.
  13. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the brake pedal return spring.

    2. Remove the bolt from the No. 3 brake pedal bracket.
    3. Remove the bolt, nut and No. 3 brake pedal bracket from the brake pedal support.

    4. Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support.

  14. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL PAD 
    1. Remove the brake pedal pad.
