Removal [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work. Refer to:


    PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or
    PRECAUTION [08/2017 - 08/2019] .
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to:

    INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or

    INITIALIZATION [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or

    INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - 08/2019] .

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to:

    PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2015 - 08/2017]

    PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2017 - 08/2019]

  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to:

    PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2015 - 08/2017]

    PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2017 - 08/2019]

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to:

    PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2015 - 08/2017]

    PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2017 - 08/2018]

    PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2018 - 08/2019] .

  6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to:

    PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2015 - 08/2017]

    PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2017 - 08/2018]

    PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2018 - 08/2019]

  7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and remove the instrument panel airbag.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the DLC3.
    3. Disconnect the connector.
      NOTE:

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
