Removal [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Raise the handle, disengage the 4 guides and remove the No. 2 deck board.
  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX

    1. Remove the 4 caps.

      Remove the 4 bolts and luggage compartment trim box.

    1. Remove the bolt and rope hook.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for both sides.

    1. Disengage the 5 clips and remove the No. 1 deck board.

    1. Remove the 4 bolts and deck board reinforcement.
  8. REMOVE DECK BOARD BRACKET

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and deck board bracket.
  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. for Manual Seat:

      Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly RH (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 ).

    2. for Power Seat:

      Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly RH (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 ).

  10. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. for Manual Seat:

      Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly LH (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 ).

    2. for Power Seat:

      Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly LH (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 ).

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    1. Detach the 9 claws and remove the scuff plate.
  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for both sides.

    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim board.

    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the cap.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for both sides.

    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the cap.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for both sides.

    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Disengage the 5 clips and the 6 claws and 2 guides, and remove the rear door scuff plate front side.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Disengage the 5 clips and 2 claws, and remove the scuff plate rear side.
  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

  25. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 assist grip plugs.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and assist grip.
    3. Detach the claw and remove the front pillar garnish.

      Protect the curtain shield airbag.

      1. Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

  26. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

      Disengage the 7 clips and 2 claws, and remove the center pillar garnish.

  28. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for both sides.

  29. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 assist grip plugs.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and assist grip.
    3. Remove the bolt.
    4. Disengage the clip and guide.
    5. Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center pillar garnish, and remove the center pillar garnish.

      Remove the bolt.

    3. Detach the 5 clips.
    4. Pass the rear seat outer belt floor anchor through the rear window side garnish, and remove the rear window side garnish.

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the cover.

      Remove the bolt.

    3. Disengage the 5 clips.
    4. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Pass the rear seat outer belt floor anchor through the rear window No. 2 side garnish, and remove the rear window No. 2 side garnish.
  42. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Short Type:

      Remove the roof console box (See step  1).

    2. for Long Type:

      Remove the roof console box (See step  2).

  43. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the lens.
    2. Using a moulding remover D, disengage the 4 clips.
    3. Disconnect the connector and then remove the No. 1 room light assembly.

    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the lens.
    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws.
    3. Disconnect the connector and then remove the No. 2 room light assembly.

    1. Insert a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, into the service notch and break off the cap.
    2. Disengage the clip and remove the assist grip plug.

      Remove the screw and visor holder.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure to remove the visor holder on the other side.

    12. Disengage the clip.
    13. Remove the washer hose and the roof headlining.

      Take out the roof headlining from the cabin as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the roof headlining when taking it out.

    13. Disengage the clip.
    14. Remove the washer hose and the roof headlining.

      Take out the roof headlining from the cabin as shown in the illustration.
