Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the hood lock control cover.
  2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the hood lock nut cap.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and nut.

    3. Remove the hood lock.
    4. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Disconnect the hood lock control cable.
  3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws.

    2. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

    2. Pull the cable from the engine room and remove it.
