Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT (for 4WD with Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2019 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2021 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  4. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  5. REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  6. REMOVE AIR INTAKE DUCT RH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  8. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  9

  9. REMOVE V-BANK COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER 

    w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System: (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ] )

    w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System: (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - 08/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ] )

  11. REMOVE UPPER FRONT BUMPER RETAINER 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts, 2 screws and upper front bumper retainer.

  12. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the clip. Then move the radiator side deflector RH so that the radiator can be removed in the step below.

  13. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the clip. Then move the radiator side deflector LH so that the radiator can be removed in the step below.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Loosen the 2 clamps and remove the No. 1 radiator hose.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the water inlet.

    2. Detach the clamp from the fan shroud.

    3. Loosen the clamp and remove the No. 2 radiator hose.
  16. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK 
    1. Disconnect the reservoir hose from the upper side of the radiator tank.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and radiator reservoir tank.
  17. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE 
    1. Detach the claw to open the flexible hose clamp, and then remove the 2 bolts to disconnect the oil cooler tube from the fan shroud.

  18. REMOVE FAN SHROUD 
    1. Loosen the 4 nuts holding the fan with fluid coupling.

    2. Remove the fan with fluid coupling and generator V-belt (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] ).
    3. Remove the 2 bolts holding the fan shroud.

    4. Remove the 4 nuts of the fan with fluid coupling, and then remove the shroud together with the fan with fluid coupling.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the radiator core.

    5. Remove the fan pulley from the water pump.
  19. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and radiator.

  20. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 
    1. Remove the No. 1 radiator to support seal from the radiator assembly.
  21. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 
    1. Remove the No. 2 radiator to support seal from the radiator assembly.
