Remove/install oil pump - AR18.10-P-6020CD

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

5 Remove screw/bolts (7) for oil suction pipe (8) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA18.10-P-1002-01O 
6 Detach oil suction pipe (8) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace O-ring (9) for oil suction pipe (8). First insert oil suction pipe (8) fully into oil pan (10) and then tighten.  
7.1 Set piston on 1st cylinder to ignition top dead center (OT) Without code (B03) ECO start/stop function
IMPORTANT Rotate engine at crankshaft using a SPECIAL TOOL counterholder in direction of engine rotation until the 0° marking on the belt pulley/vibration damper coincides with the marking on the crankcase.

7.2 Set piston on 1st cylinder to ignition top dead center (OT) With code (B03) ECO start/stop function  
    Rotate engine at crankshaft using a SPECIAL TOOL counterholder in direction of engine rotation until the 0° marking on the belt pulley/vibration damper coincides with the marking on the crankcase.  
8 Remove intermediate gear for engine control between crankshaft and high-pressure pump drive gear AR05.10-P-7620CD
9 Remove screws/bolts (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA18.10-P-1001-01O 
10 Remove oil pump (10) on oil pump (2) gear INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install oil pumps (10) from the same manufacturer; check oil pump (10) for ease of movement.
If oil pump (10) is dry, fill it with engine oil so that oil is delivered when engine is started. Check adjustment of Lanchester balance shaft (adjust if necessary).

11 Install in the reverse order    
12 Check engine oil level, correct if necessary NOTES The engine oil level must lie between "Min" and "Max". Engine damage can occur otherwise.  
13 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault memory and erase if required TORQUE SPECIFICATION Stored faults which may be caused by assembly work, test work, removed lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in fault memories after completing the work. AD00.00-P-2000-04A
INSPECT Checking     
14 Check for leaks with engine running
