Remove/install radiator - AR20.20-P-3865OGE

1 Remove bottom sections of soundproofing   AR94.30-P-5300EW
2 Drain coolant at radiator (1) ENGINE 642 in MODEL 212, 218 AR20.00-P-1142OGE 
ENGINE 651 in MODEL 212 (except 212.098/298), 218 AR20.00-P-1142OMA 
ENGINE 651.9 in MODEL 212.098/298 AR20.00-P-1142EH 
3 Remove fan unit   AR20.40-P-5050EW 
4 Disconnect oil lines from connection fitting (3) for cooler (1) ENGINE 642 in MODEL 212
ENGINE 642, 651 in MODEL 218
ENGINE 651 in MODEL 212 (except 212.098/298)		  
TRANSMISSION 722.96 in MODEL 212, 218 AR27.55-P-0600CWX

INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check condition and seating of connection fitting (3); replace catch springs (4) if necessary.		 AR27.55-P-0600EV
5 Disconnect coolant hoses on radiator (1) connection fittings (2)   AR09.41-P-1311-01AL
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check coolant hoses and hose couplings for damage; replace if necessary.  
6 Remove charge air cooler   AR09.41-P-6817CW
7 Disconnect electrical connection from refrigerant pressure sensor    
8 Remove air ducting on radiator (1) ENGINE 642 in MODEL 218  
ENGINE 642 in MODEL 218 AR20.20-P-3865-10EL
9 Unclip condenser on the left and right from cooler (1)    
10 Unhook condenser below out of cooler (1) NOTES
Do not bend away oil line so much that it is permanently deformed.
This would lead to material damage and thus to leaks in the oil supply.
IMPORTANT Press the oil line on the RH condenser by hand to the side until the right connection fitting (2) of the cooler (1) can be passed by the oil line.
Secure condenser above against slipping downwards using a cable tie.		  
11 Remove radiator (1)    
INSPECT Check     
12 Check radiator (1) for signs of damage IMPORTANT If one of the lower radiator mounts is damaged it can be replaced by a repair kit. Install new radiator (1) if necessary.  
13 Install in the reverse order    
14 Attach Star Diagnosis and perform initialization of the DISTRONIC electric controller unit With code 233 (DISTRONIC PLUS)  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
15 Perform engine test run and check connectors for coolant hoses and oil lines for leaktightness
