Remove/install oil lines of oil cooling for automatic transmission - AR27.55-P-0600EW

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Remove lower engine compartment paneling or bottom sections of soundproofing Vehicles with diesel engine AR94.30-P-5300EW
Vehicles with gasoline engine AR61.20-P-1105EW
  Oil cooling line (feed) (1z) or oil cooling line (return) (1r)     
2 Detach double clamp (2)    
3 Disconnect oil cooling lines (1r, 1z) at front separating point (8)   AR27.10-P-0501-03CW
NOTES Do not kink or bend the oil cooling lines (1r, 1z).
Otherwise the oil lines may leak or be damaged.
NOTES Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation points.
Otherwise even the smallest dirt particles introduced into the hydraulic components can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system.
IMPORTANT Collect transmission oil which runs out with a suitable container and seal line connections with stop plugs.
SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
4 Detach retaining clamps (4) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, oil cooling line double clamp to bracket *BA27.55-P-1010-01B 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, oil cooling line double clamp to engine oil pan *BA27.55-P-1009-01B 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, dual clamp to oil line *BA27.55-P-1004-01B 
5 Remove banjo bolts (3) and pull oil cooling lines (1r, 1z) out of transmission (6) NOTES Do not kink or bend the oil cooling lines (1r, 1z).
Otherwise the oil lines may leak or be damaged.
IMPORTANT Collect transmission oil which runs out with a suitable container and seal line connections with stop plugs.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace O-rings.
 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Banjo bolt or union nut, oil cooler line to torque converter and transmission housing *BA27.55-P-1002-01B 
SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
6 Remove oil cooling lines (1r, 1z) to rear    
7 Install in the reverse order    
  Oil cooling line (feed) (2z) or oil cooling line (return) (2r)     
8 Detach oil cooling lines (2r, 2z) from front connecting points (8) and pull out   AR27.10-P-0501-03CW
IMPORTANT Collect automatic transmission fluid which escapes and seal line connections with stop plugs.

9 Detach double clamp (2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, dual clamp to oil line *BA27.55-P-1004-01B 
10 Detach oil cooling lines (2r, 2z) from cooler (5) IMPORTANT Collect automatic transmission fluid which escapes and seal line connections with stop plugs.  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Union nut connecting transmission oil line to cooler *BA27.55-P-1001-01B

11 Remove oil cooling lines (2r, 2z) downwards NOTES Do not kink or bend the oil cooling lines (2r, 2z).
Otherwise the oil lines may leak or be damaged.
 
12 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
13 Check oil level in transmission (6) and correct if necessary   AR27.00-P-0100AC
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
14 Carry out engine test run; during test run, check that transmission (6) is functioning correctly and does not leak oil
