Installing Front Main Wire Harness
- Plug connection between main wire harness and front-end wire harness right
- Fuse box for fan
- Connector for front-end control unit
- 4-6 - Connector for navigation unit
- 7-8 - Connector for CD changer
- 9 - Connector for loudspeaker amplifier
- 10 - Connector for luggage compartment light
- 11 - Ground point
- 12 - Plug connection between main wire harness and front-end wire harness left
- 13 - Connector for hydraulic unit
- 14 - Connector for brake fluid sender
- 15 - Connector for tire pressure monitoring system control unit
- 16 - Grommet
- 17-18 - Plug connection for ABS wire harness, front left and right
- 19-20 - Connector for tire pressure monitoring system antenna, left and right
- 21 - Connector for filler flap switching element
- 22 - Connector for tank filler neck
- 23 - Connector for rod antenna
- 24 - Connector for GPS antenna
- 25 - Connector for radio antenna
- 26 - Connector for vertical sensor
- 27 - Connector for pressure switch
- 28 - Connector for alarm siren
- 29 - B+ line to power distributor
- 30-31 - Plug connection for PASM, front left and right
- 32-33 - Connector for windscreen washer system spray nozzle, left and right
- 34 - Connector for headlight beam adjustment angle sensor
- 35 - Connector for fluid level indicator sender
- 36 - Connector for windscreen washer system pump
- 37 - Connector for headlight washer pump
- 38 - Connector for wiper motor
- 39 - Connector for alarm horn
- 40 - Connector for fuel level sensor
- 41 - Grommet
- Push through main wire harness in direction of plenum panel.
- Fit grommets -41- center, left and right.
- Clip in wire harness on end plate under windscreen at the two retaining clips -arrow- .
- Push on connector for fuel level sender -40- -Arrow A- and lock -Arrow B- .
- Position battery retaining bracket and secure with the four fastening nuts. → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- Push on connector for alarm horn -39- until it is felt to engage. → Installing alarm siren - chapter on "Installing"
- Push on connector for wiper motor -38-
until it is felt to engage. → Installing wiper motor

- Push connector onto front angle sensor for headlight beam adjustment -34- until it is felt to engage. → Installing Front Angle Sensor For Headlight Beam Adjustment (HBA) - chapter on "Installing"
- Push on connectors for windscreen washer system spray nozzle, left and right -32 and 33- until they are felt to engage. → Installing spray nozzle for windscreen washer system - chapter on "Installing"
- Connect plug connections for PASM, front left and right -30 and 31- until they are felt to engage.
- Push B+ line -29-
onto mounting point at the power distributor as far as the stop. Check B+ line sits firmly. → Installing Power Distributor - chapter on "Installing"

- Push on connector of vertical sensor -26- until it is felt to engage.
- Push on connector for radio antenna -25- until it felt to engage. → Installing Mobile Communication Antenna - chapter on "Installing"

- Clip in wire harness for end plate under windscreen at the three retaining clips -arrow-

- Push in connector for rod antenna -23- until it is felt to engage.
- Push on connector for tank filler neck -22- . → Installing Filler Neck - chapter on "Installing"
- Push on connector for filler flap switching element -21- until it is felt to engage. → Installing switching element for filler flap - chapter on "Installing"
- Push on connectors of front antenna for tire pressure monitoring system -19 and 20- at left and right until they are felt to engage. → Installing Antenna For Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) - chapter on "Installing"
- Lay and connect ABS wire harness, front left and right -17 and 18-
. → Installing Wire Harness For Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) - chapter on "Installing"
- 22.1. Laying ABS wire harness
- 22.2. Tighten fastening screw of connector socket. → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- 22.3. Lock the plug connection securely.
- Push through main wire harness in direction of luggage compartment.
- Fit grommets -16- left and right.
- Clip in wire harness to CD changer/navigation unit -arrows- .
- Clip in wire harness to loudspeaker amplifier -Arrows A- and fix with new adhesive tape -Arrow B- .
- Clip in wire harness for front end control unit -arrow- .
- Push on connector for tire pressure monitoring system control unit -15- until it is felt to engage. → Installing Control Unit For Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) - chapter on "Installing"
- Push on connector for brake fluid sender -14- until it is felt to engage.
- Push on connector for hydraulic unit -13- and lock it. → Installing hydraulic unit - chapter on "Installing"
- Push together plug connection between main wire harness and front-end wire harness, left -12- until it engages securely. Clip in connector socket.
- Secure ground point left -11-

- 32.1. Connect ground straps and tighten fastening nut. → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ft. lb.)
- Push connector onto fuse box for fan -2-
.
- 33.1. Push connector onto fuse box for fan -Arrow A- .
- 33.2. Close lid -Arrow B- until it is felt to engage.
- 33.3. Position bottom of fuse box for fan on the clip -Arrow C- and clip in -Arrow D- .
- Push together plug connection between main wire harness and front end wire harness, right -1-

- 34.1. Insert connector socket in the holder and turn anti-clockwise 90°.
