Subsequent Work

  1. Peripheral work must be carried out in the same way for vehicles with manual transmission. → Installing Transmission
  2. Install cover for plenum panel. → Installing Cowl Panel Cover
  3. Fit pneumatic spring for bonnet → 553119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT PNEUMATIC SPRING . While doing so, fit engine compartment rubber seal → Installing Front Lid Seal .
  4. Fill the air conditioning system. → Draining And Filling In Refrigerant
  5. Fill and bleed the cooling system. → Filling The Cooling System (Includes Bleeding)
  6. Bleed the brake system. → Bleeding The Brake System
  7. Fit engine compartment trim panels. → Installing Front Trim (Engine Compartment)
  8. Install front wheel housing liners. → Installing Front Wheel Housing Liner
  9. Connect the battery. → WM 9000IN WORK INSTRUCTIONS AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY (ALL MODELS)
  10. Bleed power steering. → WM 4800IN TEST AND ASSEMBLY WORK ON POWER STEERING (ALL MODELS)
  11. Bleed ATF and check level. → WM 370235 CHECKING AND TOPPING UP ATF
  12. Fit engine guard with transverse strut. → Installing Engine Guard 
  13. Mount front wheels. → Removing And Installing Wheel
  14. Check engine oil level.
  15. Bleed PDCC. → WM 430307 BLEEDING PORSCHE DYNAMIC CHASSIS CONTROL (PDCC)
  16. Perform suspension alignment. → 4400IN SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT, COMPLETE

    Information 

    • Following replacement of the high-pressure pump and engine, the values for the high-pressure adaptation must be reset using the PIWIS Tester. Then carry out a test and adaptation drive. Read the information in the section →  WM 247019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DME (DFI) CONTROL UNIT  . 
  17. The high-pressure adaptation must be reset when replacing the engine.
  18. Read out DME fault memory and compare with the log you printed prior to removal.
