52 17 726 Removing and installing/replacing seat mechanism on left or right front seat

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove seat and backrest cover with upholstery. See BACKREST COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT or BACKREST COVER FOR FRONT PASSENGER SEAT .
Replacement:
Only with comfort seat with active seat before model revision (without REMA seat belt):
Saw off tab (1) along the line (2).
NOTE:
The version with the REMA seat belt uses the tab (1) as an attachment point.
In this version, the tab (1) may not be removed.

Swap over the following parts according to version:
- Seat belts: See REMOVING/INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT SEAT BELT (COMPLETE) .
- Lower strap: See REMOVING/INSTALLING/REPLACING LOWER STRAP FITTING, DRIVER'S SEAT or REMOVING/INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LOWER STRAP FITTING, FRONT PASSENGER SEAT .
- Release mechanism: See REMOVING/INSTALLING/REPLACING RELEASE MECHANISM ON FRONT SEAT .
- Lumbar support pump: See REPLACING LUMBAR SUPPORT PUMP ON LEFT or REPLACING RIGHT LUMBAR SUPPORT PUMP .
- Pump for active seat: See REPLACING LEFT ACTIVE SEAT PUMP or REPLACING RIGHT ACTIVE SEAT PUMP .
- Upholstery set for active seat: See REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR DRIVER'S SEAT or REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR PASSENGER FRONT SEAT .
- Adjuster for thigh support: See REMOVING/INSTALLING/REPLACING ADJUSTMENT UNIT FOR THIGH SUPPORT (ELECTRIC) .
- Adjuster for backrest width adjustment: See REMOVING/INSTALLING/REPLACING ADJUSTMENT UNIT FOR BACKREST WIDTH ADJUSTMENT .
