61 35 080 Removing and installing/replacing control unit/module for left or right seat adjustment

Attention. 

Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary work: 

Up to build date 07/13: 

Unlock metal tab (1) towards front and remove control unit for seat adjustment (2) towards bottom.

Unlock and disconnect all associated plug connections.

Installation note: 

Make sure control unit for seat adjustment (1) is correctly seated in bracket (2).

Guides (3) and metal tab (4) must not be damaged.

Version from 07/13: 

Unlock the sheet metal tabs (2) and remove the control unit for seat adjustment (3) towards the bottom.

Unlock and disconnect all connectors (1).

Replacement: 

Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
