51 12 001 Replacing rear bumper

Replacing rear bumper center section (carrier) (51 12 011):

Remove complete rear bumper. Refer to 51 12 000 Removing and installing complete rear bumper .

Release expansion rivets (1).

Lever cable out of retainers (1) on left/right.

Loosen left/right screw (2).

Release expansion rivets (3) and remove center section of bumper (4).

Release screws and remove cable (1).

Detach retainers (2) from center section of bumper (3).

Replacing rear bumper trim (51 12 157) and replacing rear bumper (51 12 001):

Remove both rear lights. Refer to 63 21 180 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT TAIL LIGHT .

Remove rear fog light. Refer to 63 21 ... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT REAR FOG LIGHT .

Remove reversing light. Refer to 63 21 ... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT REAR FOG LIGHT .

Remove reflecting tail light from rear bumper. Refer to 63 14 120 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REFLECTING TAIL LIGHT ON REAR BUMPER .

Remove antenna (radio). Refer to 65 24 100 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ANTENNA (RADIO) .

Remove telephone antenna. Refer to 84 50 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TELEPHONE ANTENNA .
