	Remove/install
1	Remove front axle carrier.	Model 223 with engine 176 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) : Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test.	AR33.10-P-0100SA
2	Detach front axle differential propeller shaft from front axle differential (1).	Model 223 with engine 176 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)	AR41.10-P-0070SC
		Model 223 with engine 256 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) Model 223 with engine 256 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) Installation:  Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test.	AR41.10-P-0070S
3	Drain front axle differential oil.		AR33.25-P-0300-01S
		Quick-acting adhesive Omnifit 100H (50 g)	*BR00.45-Z-1110-02A
		Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray	*BR00.45-Z-1046-04A
		Front axle transmission filling screw	*BA33.30-P-1014-03G
		Front axle transmission drain screw	*BA33.30-P-1008-03G
		Hypoid gear oil (filling quantity)	BF33.30-P-1001-03F

4	Remove front axle shafts.	Model 223 with engine 256 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)	AR33.30-P-0620S
5	Remove intermediate shaft.		AR33.30-P-0625S
6	Lower steering gear far enough until front axle differential (1) can be removed.	Model 223 with engine 256 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)	AR46.20-P-0500S
7	Remove integrated starter alternator control unit (N129).	Model 223 with engine 256.9 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) except code ME10 (Hybrid vehicle (plug-in, PHEV))	AR15.40-P-0004SB
8	Unscrew screw (2c).	Collar bolt, front axle differential to support/oil pan	*BA33.30-P-1006-03G
9	Remove screw (2b).	Collar bolt, front axle differential to support/oil pan	*BA33.30-P-1006-03G
10	Unscrew screw (2a) and remove front axle differential (1).	Collect remaining escaping front axle differential oil using an absorbent cloth. Collar bolt, front axle gear to engine support	*BA33.30-P-1007-03G
11	Install in the reverse order.
12	Check front axle differential (1) for leak tightness.
13	Install lower engine compartment paneling.		AR61.20-P-1105S
