	Remove/install
1	Remove engine from front axle carrier.		AR01.10-P-2510SVZ
2	Remove transmission from engine.		AR27.10-P-0500SVZ
3	Mount the engine on the assembly stand with the engine crane.

4	Remove engine crane and load tilter from engine.
5	Remove the coolant feed line for the left exhaust gas turbocharger.		AR09.41-P-0011SVZ
6	Remove the oil feed line for the left exhaust gas turbocharger.		AR09.40-P-0002SVZ
7	Remove the coolant return flow line for the left exhaust gas turbocharger.		AR09.41-P-0013SVZ
8	Remove the oil return feed line for the left exhaust gas turbocharger.		AR09.40-P-0004SVZ
9	Remove front left engine carrier.		AR22.10-P-4325SVZ
10	Remove heat shield (2).
11	Remove screw (3).
12	Expose the bracket (4) and remove.
13	Release and disconnect electrical connector (6).
14	Remove the snap clamp and vacuum line (5).	Plug openings. : Replace snap clamp. Pliers for click clamps	Fig 2

15	Remove the bolts (7, 9) and the support (8).	Bolt, support for turbocharger to turbocharger	*BA09.40-P-1008-01V
		Bolt, turbocharger support brace to crankcase	*BA09.40-P-1009-01V
16	Remove locking clips (10).	: Replace retainers (10).
17	Remove the nuts (11) in the reverse order of the tightening procedure.
	Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths		AH00.00-P-0015-01CW
	Tightening procedure	Request the assistance of another person to stop the exhaust gas turbocharger with exhaust manifold (1) from falling. : Replace nuts (11). Tighten the nuts (11) according to the tightening procedure.	GF09.40-P-6037-01SVZ
		Nut, exhaust gas turbocharger/exhaust manifold to cylinder head	*BA09.40-P-1001-01V
18	Remove the exhaust gas turbocharger with exhaust manifold (1).	Aid of helper required. The exhaust gas turbocharger and exhaust manifold (1) together form a unit and must not be separated. Seal the openings with suitable, lint-free dry cloths.
19	Remove the seal with heat insulation (12).	Seal the openings with suitable, lint-free dry cloths. : Replace the seal with heat insulation (12).
	Check
20	Check vacuum line (5) for damage.	If damage is present: ↓ Replace vacuum line (5).
21	Check the threaded pins (13) for damage.	If damage is present: ↓ Replace the relevant threaded pin (13).
22	Check the exhaust gas turbocharger with exhaust manifold (1) for damage and wear.	If damage or wear is present: ↓ Replace the exhaust gas turbocharger with exhaust manifold (1).
23	Check the sealing surfaces on the cylinder head and exhaust gas turbocharger with exhaust manifold (1) for damage.	If damage is present: ↓ Replace corresponding component. Remove/install left cylinder head	AR01.30-P-5770SVZ
24	Install in the reverse order.
