Remove/Install Rear Window - AR67.20-P-5145MFV

REMOVING Remove     
1 Open side window in driver door. NOTES
The side window in the driver door must be open during the curing time of the adhesive material.
This prevents the rear window (3) from being pressed outwards by the air pressure when the door are closed.
 
2 Remove C-pillar trim.   AR68.30-P-4490MFV
3 Release and disconnect electrical connections (1). IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (1) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.  
4 Remove center brake lamp.   AR82.10-P-5376MFV
5 Remove ground line (2) from ground point on C-pillar.    
6 Fix the electric lines on the rear window (3) to the inside of the rear window (3) with tape. IMPORTANT The number of electrical lines varies depending on the vehicle equipment.  
7 Cover vehicle interior in the repair area.    
8 Open trunk lid approx. 45° and fix in place with suitable objects.    
9 Mask areas around the rear window (3) with suitable tape.    
WARNING Risk of injury  from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass when cutting out bonded windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A 
10 Cut out and remove rear window (3). IMPORTANT Helper required for removing rear window (3). AR67.10-P-1000-11SX 
CLEAN Clean     
11 Remove adhesive strips and cover material from vehicle.    
12 Clean repair area.    
INSTALLING Install     
13 Prepare the window frame for installation.   AR67.20-P-5145-03MFA

14 Replace rubber spacer disks. IMPORTANT Glue on position of rubber spacer disks based on previous positions.
IMPORTANT Only remove protective foil of rubber spacer disks on one side.
 
15 Prepare rear window (3) for installation.   AR67.10-P-1000-03MFA 
16 Align rear window (3) in body opening.   AR67.20-P-4050-04MFV 
    Height of rear window to roof *BE67.20-P-1007-01S 
    Rear window to roof *BE67.20-P-1006-01S 
    Height of rear window to side wall *BE67.20-P-1005-01S 
    Rear window to side wall *BE67.20-P-1004-01S 
    SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge Fig 1
17 Remove protective foil from rubber spacer disks on rear window (3).    
18 Apply adhesive material.   AR67.20-P-3000-05MFA

19 Align rear window (3) in body opening according to adhesive strips, firmly press on and fix in place with suitable tape. IMPORTANT Observe the manufacturer's specifications for the curing time of the adhesive material.
Only perform the following work after the curing time.
IMPORTANT Helper required.
 
20 Close side window of the driver's door.    
21 Install ground line (2) on ground point of C-pillar.

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Ground point (left rear window heater) *BA00.19-P-1037-02E 
22 Connect electrical connectors (1). IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (1) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.  
23 Install center brake lamp.   AR82.10-P-5376MFV
24 Install C-pillar trim.   AR68.30-P-4490MFV
25 Remove fixation and close trunk lid.
