Prepare Rear Window For Installation - AR67.20-P-5145-03MFA

NOTES

The bonding area must be free of dust and grease.

Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.

IMPORTANT

Use only the repair kit specified in the EPC.

  1. Check rear window for existing scratches and damage.

    If a problem occurs,

    Replace rear window.

  2. Fasten electrical lines on inside of rear window with adhesive tape.

    IMPORTANT

    The number of electrical lines varies depending on the vehicle equipment.

  3. Level remaining adhesive on rear window with suitable scraper down to a height of approx. 2 mm and remove loose remaining adhesive.

    When reusing rear window.

  4. Repair damaged primer layer on rear window with primer.

    When reusing rear window.

    NOTES The primer must flash off for at least 10 min.

    Otherwise the adhesive effect of the adhesive material will be impaired.

  5. Apply cleaner (activator) in bonding area on rear window and rub dry with dry cloth.

    When replacing rear window.

  6. Coat bonding area on rear window using primer.

    When replacing rear window.

    NOTES The primer must flash off for at least 10 min.

    Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.
