11	Remove air duct (4). 12	Disconnect all electrical connectors on electrical wiring harness (6) and remove electrical wiring harness (6) from crossmember (1).	Pay attention to installation position. Dismantling tool	Fig 1
13	Mark installation position of the crossmember (1) relative to the A-pillars (arrows).
14	Remove stop plugs (8) and bolts (9).	Do not insert bolts (9) until crossmember (1) has been aligned. Otherwise, clip fasteners (10) and thus the installation position of crossmember (1) may shift. The number of bolts (9) and clip fasteners (10) may vary depending on the equipment variant.
		Screw/bolt, crossmember to firewall below windshield	*BA68.10-P-1002-02D
15	Remove screws (11).
16	Fold floor covering (12) in the driver footwell to one side and remove bolt (13).	Screw/bolt, crossmember strut to transmission tunnel	*BA68.10-P-1003-02D
17	Remove screws (14).	Screw/bolt, crossmember to A-pillar	*BA68.10-P-1001-02D
18	Pull crossmember (1) out rearward until electrical wiring harness (7) is accessible and expose it.	Model 223 with code 445 (Head-up display with augmented reality.) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Pay attention to installation position. Aid of helper required.

19	Remove crossmember (1) from the vehicle.	Aid of helper required.
20	Install in the reverse order.
