	Remove/install
1	Remove windshield.		AR67.10-P-1700FR
2	Completely open sliding roof lining.	Model 290 with code 414 (Sliding sunroof)
3	Remove inside rearview mirror.		AR68.40-P-0001FR
4	Remove sun visors (2).		AR68.60-P-5480FR
5	Remove top B-pillar trim (4).		AR68.30-P-4700FR
6	Remove C-pillar trim (5).		AR68.30-P-4490FRX
7	Remove D-pillar trim (6).		AR68.30-P-4497FRX
8	Remove rear dome lamp (E11/1, E11/2).	Long wedge	Fig 1
9	Disconnect electrical connector (8).	Model 290 with code 811 (Advanced sound system)
10	Detach electrical connection (9).
11	Slightly fold back foam material and disconnect electrical connector (12).
12	Remove edge guard from body flange in area of roof lining (1).
13	Press catch hooks (arrows) together and unclip roof lining (1) from front roof frame.
14	Detach roof lining (1) on left and right on sliding sunroof frame.	Model 290 with code 414 (Sliding sunroof)

15	Detach the roof lining (1) from the magnets (10, 11) and lay it down in the vehicle.	Aid of helper required.
16	Remove roof lining (1) from vehicle through window cutout in windshield.	Do not bend headliner (1) excessively. Otherwise the headliner (1) can kink and be damaged.
		Aid of helper required.
17	Check dampings on the roof lining (1) for correct seating and condition.	Model 290 with code 460 (Canada version) Model 290 with code 494 (US version)
		If the headliner (1) is reused. If there is a problem, ↓ replace affected dampings on the roof lining (1).
18	Prepare new headliner (1) for installation.	When replacing roof paneling (1).	AR68.30-P-4305-16FRX
		Adhesive tape roll, non-woven Tesa tape, 50 meters, 50 mm wide	*BR00.45-Z-1144-02A
19	Install in the reverse order.
