MODIFICATION NOTES

18.11.2022 Remove/install augmented reality camera (B84/14). Operation steps 7 and 22 newly added.  
WARNING Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism. When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m). AS82.30-Z-0001-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove wiper arms.   AR82.30-P-6100FR
2 Remove covers of air/water duct.    
3 Remove drip rails.    
4 Remove A-pillar trims.   AR68.30-P-4050FR
5 Remove rain/light sensor (B382).   AR82.30-P-7801FR
6 Remove multifunction camera (A40/13). Model 257, 290

7 Remove the augmented reality camera (B84/14). Model 257

8 Cover vehicle interior in the repair area.    
9 Mask off areas around windshield with suitable tape.    
WARNING Risk of injury  from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass when cutting out bonded windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A 
10 Cut out windshield and remove. IMPORTANT Helper required to remove windshield. AR67.10-P-1000-11SX 
INSTALLING Install     
Notice  Notes on handling adhesive   AH67.00-P-1000-01A 
11 Prepare windshield window frame for installing window.   AR67.10-P-1700-03FR 
Notice  General notes about painting the body flange in the glazing area IMPORTANT Use only primer fillers and primer sticks approved by Mercedes-Benz AG. AH98.00-P-9408-06A
    Primer stick *BR00.45-Z-1012-07A 
12 Prepare windshield for installing window.   AR67.10-P-1700-04FR 
13 Replace rubber window spacers. IMPORTANT Glue on position of rubber window spacers based on old positions.
IMPORTANT Remove protective foil from rubber window spacers only on one side.		  
14 Align windshield in body opening. IMPORTANT Aid of helper required. AR67.10-P-1000-09FR 
    HAND-HELD TESTER Distance between top edge of window and front edge of roof *BE67.10-P-1001-01H 
    SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge Fig 1
15 Detach protective foil from the rubber window spacers.    
16 Apply adhesive material. NOTES
Install windshield within 10 min of applying adhesive material.
Otherwise, the adhesion of the adhesive material is impaired.		 AR67.10-P-1000-08FR 
    SPECIAL TOOL Adapter Fig 2
17 Close hood.    
18 Install windshield. NOTES
The side window should remain open during the curing time.
Otherwise the windshield can be pressed toward outside by the air when a door is closed.		 AR67.10-P-1700-05FR 
    IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.
IMPORTANT Observe the manufacturer's specifications for the curing time of the adhesive material.
Only perform the following work after the curing time.		  
19 Close side window of the driver's door.    
20 Remove tape and cover material from vehicle.    
21 Clean repair area.    
22 Install the augmented reality camera (B84/14). Model 257
