	Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. 4	Remove insulation (1)

7	Unclip electric line (7) at fuel line (12)

15	Remove screw/bolts (11) for bracket on diagnostic socket (9)
16	Remove screw/bolts on the fuel lines holder (12, 13) at left cylinder head cover and remove left cylinder head
17	Remove filler neck (14)
18	Open mounting clamp (15) and detach fuel line (13) from hose (16)
19	Detach fuel line (12) on rail (17)	Thoroughly clean area around fuel line (12) at locations to be separated. Failure can occur otherwise to the fuel system. Do not kink or bend fuel line (12). Otherwise leaks and damage may occur.

20	Detach fuel lines (12, 13) on left fuel system high pressure pump (2) and place to one side	Thoroughly clean area around fuel lines (12, 13) at locations to be separated. Failure can occur otherwise to the fuel system. Do not kink or bend the fuel lines (12, 13). Otherwise leaks and damage may occur.

21	Remove screw/bolts (18) and remove left fuel system high pressure pump (2) upwards	Screw/bolts (18) must be removed alternately each by half a revolution each time when removing the left fuel system high pressure pump (2). Damage could occur to the left fuel system high pressure pump (2) otherwise. Thoroughly clean area around the fuel high- pressure circuit. Failure can occur otherwise to the fuel system.

22	Replace sealing ring of the left fuel system high pressure pump (2)
23	Attach left fuel system high pressure pump (2) with screw/bolt (18) to left cylinder head cover	Screw/bolts (18) must be screwed in alternately each by half a revolution each time when installing the fuel system high pressure pump (2). Damage could occur to the left fuel system high pressure pump (2) otherwise. The left fuel system high pressure pump (2) must lie flat on the cylinder head cover after tightening the screw/bolts (18). Replace screws (18).

28	Install filler neck (14)	When inserting the filler neck (14) make sure that the sealing ring is not damaged. Replace sealing ring.

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 44	Perform an engine test run and check fuel system for proper operation and leaktightness
