| 1 | Open all of the side windows. | ||
| 2 | Completely open roller sun blind on panoramic roof | Model 238.3 with code 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof) | |
| 3 | Remove inside rearview mirror (A67) | AR68.40-P-0001LWO | |
| 4 | Fold back the foam material (12) and die disconnect the electrical connection (13). | Completely pull foam material (12) over electrical connector (13). Otherwise noise may occur. |

| 5 | Remove left and right sun visor (2). | AR68.60-P-5480LWO | |
| 6 | Unclip the left and right cover (3) from the headliner (1). | ||
| 7 | Remove the left and right A-pillar paneling (4). | AR68.30-P-4050LWO | |
| 8 | Remove the left and right coat hook (7) and unscrew the bolts below. | ||
| 9 | Remove the left and right C-pillar paneling (5) and lay it down to the side with the installed seat belts | AR68.30-P-4490LWO | |
| 10 | Remove the edge guards (6) from the body flange in the area of the headliner (1). | ||
| 11 | Put the backrests on the two front seats all the way down. | ||
| 12 | Press the catch hooks (arrows) together and unclip the headliner (1) from the front roof frame. | ||
| 13 | Push headliner (1) toward rear until guide hooks are unhooked from rear roof frame and lay headliner (1) down on vehicle | ||
| 14 | Remove the headliner (1) from the vehicle from the side. | Do not bend headliner (1) excessively. Otherwise the headliner (1) can be damaged. |

| 15 | Make sure that all of the soundproofing on the headliner (1) is properly attached and in good condition. | Model 238.3 with code 494 (US version) If the headliner (1) is reused. If complaint present ↓ Replace the affected soundproofing on the headliner (1). |
