	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Check
1	Check boot (6)	Do not check the boot (6) by pressing in or around the raised bead. Otherwise damage and leakages may occur. Stretch the boot (6) by turning the steering to the left and right lock and check for damage (cracks, holes, chafing marks and intrusions).
2	Check water drain valve in steering gear		AR46.20-P-0005EW
	Remove/install
3	Remove boot (6)		AR46.40-P-9998LF
	Check
4	Check toothed rack for signs of corrosion	If toothed rack of rack-and-pinion steering is corroded. ↓ Replace rack-and-pinion steering.	AR46.20-P-0600LF
5	Check axial joint of inside tie rod (2) for play
		If axial joint is worn out. ↓ Replace tie rod (2).	AP46.00-P-4651C
			AR46.40-P-0201LF
6	Install in the reverse order
7	Perform wheel alignment check		AR40.20-P-0200LF
