	Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts	Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts. Deburr repair panels.	AS00.00-Z-0017-01A
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Remove/install
1	Remove center engine compartment lining.		AR61.20-P-1105LF
2	Unscrew tie rod (4) from inner tie rod (2).	The tie rod (4) must always be counter held. Otherwise, the tie rod (4) will be damaged.	AR46.40-P-0200LF
3	Remove inner clamp (1).	Replace inner clamp (1). Position clamping of inner clamp (1) downwards.
4	Remove outer clam p (5).	Position opening of outer clamp (5) downwards. Hose clamp pliers	Fig 2
5	Detach boot (6) from inner tie rod (2)	Apply thin coating of Renolit to contact surfaces of boot (6) and rack-and-pinion steering. Observe installation position of ventilation (7). Renolit CX-FO 20	*BR00.45-Z-1100-06A
	Clean
6	Clean contact surfaces of boot (6) on inner tie rod (2) and rack-and-pinion steering.	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
7	Install in the reverse order
